Jonahmae Panen Pacala, also known as “Jonaxx”, is from Cagayan de Oro City. She was born on January 23, 1991. She earned her degree in teaching in 2011, and she’s now currently a teacher of pre-school students. Jonah is not fond of reading novels, but at a very young age, she discovered her talent for writing. She started writing short stories at the age of 10. At the age of 12, she discovered Creative Corner and started writing there. But in November 2012, she moved to Wattpad, using the username “Jonaxx”, as she continues writing teen fiction and non-teen fiction stories.

Being Jonaxx of Wattpad, she’s now the most followed author on Wattpad, replacing Imaginator1D. She’s the first ever Filipino Wattpad author to gain 1 million followers and also the first Wattpad author to be verified on Wattpad. Her stories have been read and voted on by millions of people. As of now, she has almost 60 million votes on Wattpad, and last month she reached 5 million followers.

She has almost 60 stories and some of them are still on-going.

She has her own imprint called “Majesty Press” under Summit Media, and on June 20, 2020, her own app was released, our own little kingdom. It has already had one million downloads on Android and nearly one million downloads on the iPhone.

Every time she updates, with no effort, it will be on the Twitter trend list. For example, on December 30, 2020, she broke the whole social media when she updated the prologue of one of her most famous stories, The Sun’s Heartbeat (Costa Leona Series # 14). It was even featured in the Manila Bulletin along with her other story titled “To Fall Again.”

Jonaxx fans are called Jonaxx Stories Lovers, or JSL. She has the biggest fandom on Wattpad, so it is not questionable that there are a million social media accounts dedicated to her and to her characters. 

But, of course, everything is not perfect. Whatever you do, there will always be someone who will do anything to drag you down. She was bashed for no reason. People say a lot of bad things about her. But that did not stop her from inspiring people, and that made her fans love her more.
